The Role
We are seeking a high-impact Technical AV Sales Engineer to drive our growth across Latin America. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that bridges the gap between sales and technology, encompassing Pre-Sales consulting, solution design, and expert Post-Sales support.
As a key technical advisor, you will partner with distributors, system integrators, and regional sales managers to architect and implement world-class Professional AV and Unified Communications (UC) solutions.
This role requires regular travel across the LATAM region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Pre-Sales & Design
  • Solution Architecture: Design and recommend end-to-end Pro AV solutions, including system designs, BOMs, and single-line drawings.
  • Technical Advocacy: Deliver compelling product demos, webinars, and technical workshops to key stakeholders.
  • Tender Support: Provide expert technical input for RFPs and complex tender processes.
  • Validation: Lead Proof of Concept (PoC) projects and solution validations at customer sites.

Post-Sales & Technical Excellence
  • Expert Support: Troubleshoot complex AV hardware, software, and networking issues across cloud-based and on-premise platforms.
  • Implementation: Guide system configuration, commissioning, and deployment for high-scale installations.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Design and deliver technical training sessions for partners and end-users.
  • Case Management: Resolve technical support cases efficiently, ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Regional Collaboration
  • Market Intelligence: Translate customer feedback and regional requirements into actionable insights for R&D and Product Management.
  • Business Growth: Partner with Regional Sales Managers to identify new opportunities through a technical lens.
Requirements
Experience & Education
  • Academic Background: Degree in Engineering (Electronics/Telecom), IT, or AV Technologies.
  • Industry Expertise: 3+ years in Professional AV or Unified Communications.
  • Proven Track Record: Experience with AV manufacturers, distributors, or top-tier system integrators.

Technical Proficiency
  • Core Tech: Expertise in AV-over-IP, Video Switching, Signal Distribution, and Control Systems.
  • Protocols: Deep familiarity with HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, AES67, and USB streaming.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals (CCNA level is a major advantage).
  • Platforms: Proficiency in major UC and collaboration platforms.
