JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Center for Survey Research at Penn State Harrisburg isseekinga creative and motivated individual to join our team for a part-time summer position supporting marketing and social media efforts. This role is ideal for a high school student (rising junior or senior) or undergraduate student interested in marketing, communications, or digital media.

This is a temporary summer appointmentwithlimitedhours(5-10hours/week). Hours are flexible and scheduled based on project needs. Some in-office work may berequired.

Job Duties
  • Create engaging social media content, including graphics, captions, and short-form posts.

  • Design marketing materials using Canva.

  • Assistwith content planning and scheduling across social media platforms.

  • Collaborate with Center staff to develop creative communication strategies.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Current high school student (rising junior or senior) or undergraduate student.

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).

  • Experience using Canva isrequired.

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Creativity and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Interest in marketing, communications, or related fields preferred.
