Job description

Survey Rodman - SR0826
Sanders Brother Construction is currently seeking Surveying Rodman to support Sanders Brothers' surveying operations within in the Charleston area. The Rodman will work with surveyors and construction crews.
Role and Responsibilities
The Survey Rodman will be responsible for supporting Surveyors and surveying crews during the measurement of land and grade.
  • Visit work/construction sites for land measurements.
  • Using basic mathematics and reading numerals.
  • Provide accurate survey rod readings on the request and direction of surveyor.
  • Work in varying weather conditions and work environments including dusty, wet, loud noises, etc.
  • Keep company vehicle, tools and equipment clean and orderly, informing management of any safety concerns.
  • Comply with all SBCC policies, procedures and safety requirements.
  • Perform any other general duties as specified.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 0-1 years experience assisting in surveying procedures, operations and providing survey rod readings.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Must obtain a negative drug test result prior to hire and maintain throughout term of employment.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record by complying with standards established by SBCC policy.
  • Must meet SBCC's employment standards with regards to background checks.
  • Must have the ability to stand, crawl and kneel for long periods of time
  • Work environments will vary making it necessary to tolerate weather conditions, such as rain and extreme temperatures. Employees may be exposed to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, loud noises, etc.
Candidates are encouraged to provide 3 year MVR at the time of application.
