In your role as an LCSW, you will engage in a range of therapeutic activities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and identify their specific needs and challenges.
• Developing individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices that prioritize the unique requirements of each student.
• Delivering clinical services such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) tailored to the needs of children and adolescents.
• Collaborating with school staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support both students and their families effectively.
• Maintaining meticulous and secure clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practice standards.
• Participating in ongoing professional development and regular case consultations to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.
• Educating clients and their families about mental health problems, treatment options, and community resources available to them.

Your work will focus primarily on school-aged children and adolescents, addressing a wide array of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and trauma. You will have the opportunity to implement therapeutic interventions that not only aim to treat individual concerns but also to promote a positive school environment and enhance overall student wellness.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in providing psychotherapy services, preferably within a school or child/adolescent setting.
• Strong proficiency in solution-focused therapy and other evidence-based interventions.
• Exceptional communication skills and a capacity for building rapport with students and families.
• A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Experience working with school-age populations, particularly in a remote or telehealth setting.
• Familiarity with school-based behavioral health initiatives and community resources.
• Knowledge of group therapy methods and skills to facilitate student support groups.
