They also operate a dedicated independent divisional team to further enhance the services, support, and marketing resources to grow the businesses of benefits brokers and consultants and enable professional employer organizations (PEOs) to bring more to the table for their clients.

OVERVIEW:

Senior Retirement Plan Administrator is the primary contact for an assigned book of plans. This candidate will be responsible for the A-Z annual plan administration of 401(k), Profit Sharing, Defined Benefit and Cash Balance Plans. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Primary contact managing annual administration for approximately 120-150 plans.
  • Annual plan administrations of 401(k), Profit Sharing, Defined Benefit and Cash Balance Plans.
  • Preparation and calculations of eligibility, contributions, testing, compliance and reconciling trust accounts.
  • Distribution calculations and processing with recordkeepers and PenChecks.
  • Preparing and filing Form 5500's.
  • Preparation of plan amendments/restatements, plan terminations and IRS audits as case load demands.
  • Coordinate with Actuary to get contribution and valuations for pension plans.
  • Collaborate with clients, advisors, auditors and recordkeepers platforms

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • At least 2 years of experience in the retirement plan service area or related field.
  • An understanding plan types, eligibility, vesting, contributions (employee/employer), distributions and participant loans.
  • Proficiency in ADP/ACP testing, Coverage testing, identifying highly compensated and key employees, 401(a)(4) testing, 410(b) testing, Top Heavy testing and government reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERISA requirements, IRS and DOL regulations and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Proficient with recordkeeping platforms.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of Relius Administration, Government Forms, FT Williams system a plus.
  • ASPPA designations or equivalent a plus.
