Job description

About Credo AI
The Credo AI Governance Platform operates as the trust layer for global enterprises focused on transforming their organizations with AI. It is powered by a knowledge graph that is updated by agents, enriched with global regulatory intelligence and curated business context, supported by Forward-Deployed Experts, giving enterprises a clear view of the risk profile behind every AI system. By making that risk visible, we enable teams to move quickly and confidently scale across systems to adopt compliant AI, faster and in a compliant manner.
About the Role
Credo AI is a Series A startup at the forefront of AI Governance. We are transforming our product into an AI-native platform-moving from traditional workflow-based SaaS to one where intelligent agents automate and accelerate the manual tasks our users face today.
We're seeking a Chief Product Officer to help drive this transformation. This leader will own Product Management, Design, and User Research, and will be instrumental in shaping both our product vision and execution velocity in a rapidly evolving market.
What you'll do:
  • Own Product Functions: Lead and grow Product Management, Design, and User Research, ensuring alignment across vision, roadmap, and user experience.
  • Drive AI-Native Transformation: Define and deliver AI-first product experiences, leveraging cutting-edge AI capabilities to automate workflows and create new value for customers.
  • Unblock Velocity: Partner with Engineering leadership to dramatically improve product development velocity, addressing process, prioritization, and execution challenges.
  • Champion Customer Insight: Ensure our product decisions are grounded in user research, real-world feedback, and a deep understanding of our market and customers. Also bold enough to chart a new course in new category areas.
  • Operate as an Early-Stage Builder: Thrive in ambiguity, make decisive trade-offs, and help the company navigate the grey space of an early-stage startup undergoing transformation. This will often entail rolling up your sleeves and contributing to development work.

What we're looking for:
  • Proven Leadership Across Product Functions: Experience leading Product Management, Design, and User Research in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Prior experience in AI Governance, Responsible AI, or enterprise SaaS.
  • AI-Native Expertise: Demonstrated success building AI-first products, with deep familiarity with the latest AI capabilities and an ability to apply them in product experiences.
  • Execution & Velocity Focus: Track record of unblocking teams, streamlining processes, and accelerating development cycles.
  • Startup Operator Mindset: Comfortable working in ambiguity, with experience leading product through pivots or transformations at an early-stage company.
  • Customer-Centric Builder: Strong user empathy and ability to translate insights into innovative product solutions.
  • Strong communicator (verbal and written) with skills to lead a team, inspire customers, work with c-level audience and analysts.

Bonus Points
  • Technical background or close collaboration with engineering on AI-driven products.
  • Experience scaling product teams during Series A-C growth stages.
  • Preferred: San Francisco based in our local office (hybrid).

Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $240,000-250,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the specified location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Location & Remote Culture
While this is a remote role and we're a fully distributed team, we routinely meet up in-person. We support individual members to coordinate in-person coworking whenever possible, and organize company-wide offsites multiple times a year. At Credo AI we value diversity, equity, and inclusion as core principles in our work environment, and the development of our product offerings, and we have implemented initiatives to foster and support these values.
Credo AI Benefits & Perks
  • Competitive Salary and Equity
  • Health: We offer health, dental, and vision coverage. We also offer an ergonomic benefit to cover the costs of equipment to help staff stay healthy while working, both in the office and at home.
  • Coworking: We will cover the cost of co-working spaces like WeWork and in-person meetups.
  • Unlimited PTO: Credo AI has unlimited time off to support our employees
  • Generous Parental Leave: We offer up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • 401(k) plan for employees (US only)
