Job description

Position Overview

Santa Monica Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our expanding team in a full-time, remote capacity. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional mental health care while enjoying the flexibility of a remote work setting. Our therapists play a critical role in fostering emotional well-being for individuals and families, making a significant impact on their quality of life.

About the Organization

At Santa Monica Behavioral Health Center, we believe that mental and physical health should coexist harmoniously. Our mission centers around improving access to affordable and personalized mental health services, empowering individuals to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives. As one of the fastest-growing behavioral health practices in the country, we are committed to setting a new standard in mental health care, all driven by a dedicated team of professionals who share our vision.

Work Environment

Our outpatient office setting emphasizes a supportive and collegial work atmosphere. Even though this is a remote position, our team remains engaged and collaborative through virtual meetings, ongoing training opportunities, and sharing of best practices. We prioritize work/life balance, facilitating a healthy integration of your professional and personal life. As a team member, you'll enjoy administrative support that allows you to focus on what you do bestโ€”helping clients achieve their therapy goals.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your role encompasses a variety of critical tasks aimed at client well-being:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify clientsโ€™ mental health concerns, using evidence-based methodologies.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that effectively address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide collaborative individual therapy sessions, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques to foster personal development.
  • Set measurable therapeutic goals with clients, regularly monitoring and adjusting treatment plans to ensure optimal progress.
  • Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes in accordance with compliance standards and best practices.
  • Engage in regular professional development activities, including supervision, to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure requirements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work predominantly with adult clients, as well as children and adolescents, addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and other behavioral concerns. Our focus on holistic treatment means that our therapists encourage families to participate in the therapeutic process, significantly enhancing client outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Possess a Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Hold a current and valid license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Colorado.
  • Have a minimum of two years of clinical experience within the field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in working with diverse patient populations, including both adults and children.
Preferred Experience

While the above qualifications are essential, we highly value candidates who have experience with:

  • Implementing various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Therapy.
  • Engagement in family therapy and behavioral interventions for children and adolescents.
  • A background in crisis intervention and management.
Compensation and Benefits

Santa Monica Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes flexible working hours, above-market compensation, a Long-Term Incentive Program where you may receive annual stock grants, and full administrative support to promote a well-balanced work environment.

Career Growth Opportunities

Our organization is committed to the professional growth of our therapists. We provide numerous opportunities for career advancement through training programs, workshops, and leadership roles within the organization. You will benefit from a wealth of resources designed to enhance your skills and advance your career in the behavioral health field.

Why Join Our Team

We invite you to become a part of our visionary team that is dedicated to transforming behavioral health care. Joining Santa Monica Behavioral Health Center means becoming an integral part of an organization that prioritizes mental health advocacy, community outreach, and high-quality patient care. Your contribution will directly enhance the lives of those in need, all while enjoying a supportive workspace with a healthy work/life balance.
