Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients, focusing on the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.
  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that are tailored to their unique needs and goals, ensuring their active involvement in their mental health journey.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective interventions for managing mood disorders.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment strategies, and self-care techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their health.
  • Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to ensure efficacy and satisfaction with the therapeutic approach.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and holistic care for clients.
  • Stay current with research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to continually enhance therapeutic practices and improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all client sessions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings, as well as continuing education initiatives to refine clinical skills and practice insights.
  • Act as a client advocate, working to reduce stigma associated with mental health conditions, and promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders in the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will primarily work with individuals struggling with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
