ABOUT PALIHOUSE SANTA BARBARA

Palihouse Santa Barbara offers 24 spirited, handsomely appointed guest rooms and suites set amidst a tranquil Mediterranean-style courtyard, sparkling pool, and a delightful garden cafe, cocktail bar, and lobby lounge - designed to appeal to the most discerning travelers and tastemakers.

POSITION PROFILE

We're looking for a top-notch Houseperson ready to keep our common areas clean, sanitized, and welcoming for guests and team members alike. You'll be a key part of keeping Palihouse Santa Barbara running smoothly behind the scenes.

THE TASK AT HAND

  • Keep hotel common areas, hallways, and restrooms tidy, sanitary, and welcoming.

  • Clean and maintain rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, and wash walls, ceilings, and windows as needed.

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors, and dust and polish metalwork throughout common areas.

  • Manage linens - collecting soiled linen, restocking supplies, and maintaining housekeeping closets on each floor.

  • Remove trash collected by Room Attendants, walking assigned floors at the start and end of each shift.

  • Deliver towels, cribs, roll-away beds, and other items to guest rooms upon request.

  • Inspect furniture condition and report any damage to your supervisor for repair.

  • Maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor and follow uniform guidelines.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong working knowledge of and passion for hospitality, with a hands-on, guest-service-oriented approach.

  • Strong knowledge of cleaning products.

Physical

  • Ability to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift, including bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Flexible schedule, able to work a variety of shifts.
