SummaryThe Area Security Manager (ASM) - Remote Sites works closely with the Regional Security Manager (RSM) to implement programs and special projects.  The ASM is responsible for providing focused attention for client regional security resources (Evaluation/Assessment, Design and Program Managers) and regional leadership as well as ensuring protection of critical information, personnel, and facilities.  Additionally, the ASM works with the RSM to recommend process improvements, implement global and regional initiatives, and standardize processes and procedures for remote sites within the region. This position will also facilitate EGRC (enterprise governance, risk, and compliance) initiatives to include assurance reviews and audits across sites. The ideal candidate will lead formal and ad-hoc teams of client and other vendor partners to deliver and continuously improve security operations at remote datacenters. Essential Functions
  1. Function as a physical security subject matter expert who can operate on their own and represent the program's overall physical security teams. 
  2. Partner and collaborate closely with regional peer leaders, colleagues, and stakeholders, focused on maintaining a client focused One Team, One security environment.
  3. Facilitate and support field site visits to assess the state and health of physical security and safety among the security team; collaborate with peer colleagues at other datacenters to review, assess and share "best practices;" document issues identified during those visits requiring improvement; and recommend actions for remediation.
  4. In the absence of the RSM, receive escalations/notifications of physical security and business impacting events and appropriately triage, ensure that regional leadership for Securitas and the client are kept informed through regular communication as appropriate and that the necessary personnel for managing an incident respond effectively. 
  5. Project manage the end-to-end process for implementing security operations at new sites across the region of responsibility, which includes utilizing project schedules to adhere to the requirements of the individual project, ensuring project work is complete and on schedule, facilitate, communicate, and identify status expectations, and ensure quality and completeness of work.

  6. Identify, recommend, and manage strategic projects to drive process improvements and facilitate risk management.

  7. Drive safety as a cultural imperative. Facilitate training, safety initiatives, incident investigation and other activities to support a safe work environment.

  8. Analyze the impact of proposed changes and present findings to RSM and leadership.

  9. Collaborate with Regional Security Managers to collect, review, and submit audit evidence.

  10. Support internal compliance assessment efforts either onsite or through remote review of evidence and site behavioral practices.

  11. Manage requests for information and analyze results to ensure management is informed.

  12. Present to large groups of stakeholders, when necessary, training, information disbursement, and business case proposals.

  13. Regularly organize and facilitate meetings and provide status updates to the client.

  14. Recommend updates and create procedural documentation in collaboration with subject matter experts for management approval.

  15. Provide operational support as needed; this may include management backfill, site level training, and other duties assigned by leadership.

Minimum QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Minimum Hiring Standards
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a valid driver's license or equivalent.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
  • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of operations related experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Intermediate-level skill using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, Project, Visio, and SharePoint.
  • 5 years of experience in the security industry.
  • 5 years of management experience.
  • Holistic Information Security Practitioner (HISP) and or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification obtained within one year of hiring.
Special Requirements
  • Have a current passport or be able to obtain one. 

  • Able to travel (international or domestic, as required) approximately 75% of the time or more, occasionally with limited notice.

  • Able to work evening or weekend hours when required, such as during an emergency or high-priority event.
