Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments to understand your clients' needs thoroughly and create individualized treatment plans based on their unique situations.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and other appropriate interventions to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.
• Facilitate educational psychoeducational workshops and support groups that foster community integration, emotional support, and shared experiences among participants.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure a comprehensive, coordinated approach to patient care that addresses all aspects of mental health.
• Provide crisis intervention services and rapid response to support individuals in acute mental health situations, ensuring their immediate safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and their families about various mental health issues, available treatments, and community resources to empower informed decision-making.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate proactively in case discussions, supervision, and ongoing professional development to remain aligned with best practices in mental health therapy.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to continually enhance the quality of care you provide.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Biomedica, our patient population is diverse, encompassing individuals of various ages, backgrounds, and mental health challenges. You will work closely with clients ranging from children to adults, each seeking support for an array of issues, including chronic mental illness and transient emotional difficulties. Your role will be key in addressing the unique needs of each individual, providing them with compassionate care, and helping to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health treatment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid licensure, such as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT, in the state of New York.
• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders and therapeutic interventions, demonstrating the ability to apply evidence-based practices effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering a therapeutic alliance with clients.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology for teletherapy, patient management, and electronic health records.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating adeptness in treatment planning and delivery.
• Experience in working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or those with substance use disorders may be beneficial.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices, including adherence to ethical and legal standards in remote therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
