14433 - Renewable Energy Commissioning Manager (onsite, remote option) โ€“ Juno Beach, FL / MO, ND
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: Onsite and Remote. Travel to different sites.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.
Required:
โ€ข Experience with electrical construction and commissioning means and methods knowledge including NEC and NFPA
โ€ข Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) integration and troubleshooting
โ€ข Experience with E&I controls and instrumentation installation, startup and troubleshooting
โ€ข Experience with protection and controls implementation and troubleshooting
โ€ข Experience with inverter operation and communications startup and troubleshooting
โ€ข Experience with Battery Energy Storage System operation and troubleshooting
โ€ข Experience with renewable energy systems (solar, wind, and battery storage) commissioning and startup
โ€ข Experience with drawing review and quality control inspection
โ€ข Experience with progress reporting
โ€ข Experience with Outlook, PDF editing, Word, Excel, document control systems, and PowerPoint
โ€ข Experience with management of third parties, suppliers, EPC contractors, and OEM startup teams
โ€ข Experience with management of direct report team members and multi-site coordination
โ€ข Experience with schedule and planning
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience in on-site project support for renewable power generation project construction startup and commissioning (5+ years)
โ€ข Experience working for an EPC in renewable power generation project construction startup and commissioning (3+ years)
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Oversee and ensure high-quality execution of commissioning, startup, and operational turnover activities across renewable energy projects (wind, solar, battery storage)
โ€ข Coordinate and manage EPC contractors, OEM startup teams, third-party technicians, and operations personnel during commissioning phases
โ€ข Ensure compliance with safety policies, project specifications, codes (NEC/NFPA), and contractual obligations including PPA and GIA requirements
โ€ข Ensure project reliability at operational turnover with minimal downtime during initial operations
โ€ข Manage project schedules, staffing, reporting, and documentation across multiple sites
โ€ข Provide subject matter expertise and input into strategic planning for safety, manpower, and quality improvement
โ€ข Interface with safety, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure alignment across project execution
โ€ข Oversee NextEra commissioning personnel across multiple sites to ensure contractual deliverables are met
โ€ข Perform other job-related duties as assigned
