Position Overview
Subcom operates multiple subsea vehicles globally for subsea telecom cable installation and repair. The ROV Pilot/Technician will perform field operations and equipment maintenance and will report to the Director of Submersible Systems or Submersibles Operations Manager. The position will interface with SubCom employees and contracted labor to conduct equipment maintenance and subsea operations.
Responsibilities
  • Operate, repair, and maintain SubCom ROV and Sea Plow systems.
  • Monitor, and evaluate subsea contractors.
  • Communicate and enforce company procedures and safety policies.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and receive parts and supplies.
  • Manage onboard inventory and critical system spares.
  • Perform system maintenance with a focus on operational readiness.
  • Conduct routine system audits during deployment.
  • Support mob and demobilization of ROV and Sea Plow systems.
  • Assist with subsea equipment builds, including FAT and integration.
  • Provide clear feedback to submersibles management on system status and contracted labor.
  • Conduct administrative tasks necessary for onboard submersible administration.

Qualifications
  • Minimum two years working within the ROV industry.
  • Strong engineering or technical trade and experience operating and maintaining ROV or Sea Plow systems.
  • The ability to operate independently and proactively to address issues.
  • Good communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Functional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
