Account Executive

The Account Executive is responsible for generating new business and growing existing commercial and industrial customer relationships across Western Canada. This role focuses on selling electricity, natural gas, renewable energy, and related energy services while helping customers manage energy costs and market risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect, develop, and close new commercial and industrial accounts.
  • Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio through cross-selling and relationship management.
  • Conduct customer meetings, assess energy needs, and present customized energy solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking within CRM.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Stay informed on energy market trends, pricing, and competitive activity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of direct/outside sales experience with a consultative selling approach.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian electricity, natural gas, renewable energy, or related markets.
  • Existing relationships with commercial and industrial customers.
  • Proven success prospecting, negotiating, and closing complex sales opportunities.
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and managing large customer portfolios.
  • Ability to create and execute sales strategies that drive growth.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Energy, Sustainability, Finance, or a related field preferred.
