Summary

General Manger, IT Project Management Office (PMO) provides strategic leadership and governance for the portfolio of IT programs and projects. This role establishes project management standards, drives operational excellence, ensures alignment between IT and business objectives. The General Manager partners with executive leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to successfully deliver initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the IT PMO, including portfolio governance, PMO policies, methodologies, and alignment with organizational objectives
  • Direct the IT project and program portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, project oversight, risk management, and delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead and develop PMO staff, including hiring, coaching, performance management, workforce planning, and fostering a high-performing project management culture.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors to establish priorities, communicate project status, resolve escalated issues and support organizational change initiatives.
  • Manage PMO budget, project financial oversight, contract/vendor management, and ensuring efficient utilization of resources
  • Drive continuous improvement by implementing project management standards, metrics, reporting, quality assurance, compliance, and organizational process improvements.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Information Tech, Computer Science, Business Admin, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience.
  • 8+ years managing enterprise IT programs and portfolios.
  • Experience leading PMO
  • Success delivering complex, technology initiatives and managing multi-million-dollar portfolio
  • Strong understanding of IT Infrastructure, enterprise software, system architecture, cyber security concepts
  • Exceptional strategic planning, prioritization, problem solving, conflict resolution and executive communication capabilities
