This remote position allows therapists to deliver crucial mental health services from the comfort of their homes, providing flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with clients. • Conduct comprehensive assessments on clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, ensuring personalized treatment approaches.
• Collaborate with clients in developing individualized treatment plans that respect their unique needs, goals, and preferences, facilitating a bi-directional therapeutic relationship.
• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to implement effective treatment interventions.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatments, and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Monitor progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to reflect changing client needs and therapeutic goals.
• Coordinate integrated care by collaborating with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other medical professionals to ensure a holistic treatment approach.
• Engage in professional development activities and stay informed about the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatments.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of clinical sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training to enhance your therapeutic approach.
• Advocate for clients by diminishing mental health stigma and ensuring they have access to necessary resources.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Beyond the Edge, you'll work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also have the opportunity to provide therapy to families and groups, offering support to those facing challenges such as homelessness, refugee status, or domestic abuse. Your role will be crucial in helping clients navigate their mental health struggles, fostering their coping skills, and enhancing their overall emotional resilience.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, necessary for establishing trustful relationships with clients.
• An empathetic and nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' personal struggles and experiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively balance client care and administrative responsibilities.

Ideally, you should come with experience in therapeutic settings that work with diverse populations, particularly with clients facing mood disorders or trauma-related situations. Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and a background in evidence-based practices will be advantageous for this role. Experience in a remote working environment can also give you an edge in adjusting to our operational model.

• Salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
