• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the depth, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms, ensuring an accurate understanding of their mental health needs.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and recovery trajectories, utilizing evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Provide education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, enhancing their understanding and engagement in the recovery process.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and maintain an ongoing dialogue regarding their mental health journey.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate integrated care for clients with complex needs.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to continually refine and enhance therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the integrity and privacy of client information.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings that foster collaboration and advancement in therapeutic practices.
• Advocate for clients' needs by addressing mental health stigma and ensuring they receive appropriate support and resources.

This position focuses on individuals who are experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will be instrumental in working with various populations, including vulnerable groups such as the homeless, refugee communities, and survivors of domestic abuse, all of whom deserve compassionate and effective mental health care.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is essential to ensure a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
• Demonstrated exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with clients, essential for building effective therapeutic relationships.
• A deep sense of empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental approach are crucial for engaging with clients who may be experiencing significant challenges.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are necessary to manage administrative tasks efficiently alongside client care.

• Experience in working specifically with mood disorders is highly preferred, as familiarity with best practices will enable you to provide high-quality care.
