As a remote position, the Licensed Mental Health Therapist role at Foresight Behavioral Health Center allows for flexibility while ensuring that you can effectively connect with patients. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to meet patients' needs. • Conduct comprehensive, culturally sensitive assessments to understand patients' backgrounds, experiences, and mental health needs.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions suited to individual patients' cultural and personal contexts.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health concerns, enhancing coping strategies, and fostering resilience.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic support for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during urgent mental health situations, demonstrating strong decision-making and communication skills.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower their treatment journey.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions to promote team collaboration and skill enhancement.
• Stay abreast of research, best practices, and cultural considerations relevant to mental health therapy through continuing education.

The individuals served at Foresight Behavioral Health Center encompass a broad spectrum of backgrounds and experiences. You will engage with various client populations, including those from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and individuals facing the unique challenges that accompany immigrant experiences. This role necessitates a deep understanding of how culture and identity impact mental health, allowing you to provide effective, sensitive care that resonates with each patient's story.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A solid foundation in mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and cultural competence in therapy practices.
• Experience providing both individual and group therapy, emphasizing inclusive and culturally responsive approaches.
• Proficient crisis intervention skills; ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiar with relevant computer applications.
• A commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
• Ability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating effectively to ensure positive patient outcomes.

• Prior experience working in a multicultural environment with diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing therapeutic interventions based on individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with community resources that bolster patient support outside of therapy.
