Overview

The Director of Business Development will drive revenue growth by developing and executing outbound sales strategies, targeting corporate accounts for group bookings and corporate wellness programs across all Canyon Ranch properties, including Tucson, Lenox, Woodside and the Fort Worth Club. This role involves prospecting new clients, cultivating business relationships and delivering custom proposals to showcase Canyon Ranch's premier wellness offerings.

The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, a deep understanding of the wellness industry, a passion for promoting health and wellbeing, and an established network of corporate relationships, enabling them to cultivate partnerships and drive immediate impact in achieving quarterly and annual revenue goals.


Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE

Essential Functions and Duties include:

  • Develop and execute outbound sales strategies to meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals, focusing on Canyon Ranch's unique value proposition in the wellness industry. Generates group business through active solicitation, outside sales calls, incoming phone and email inquiries, as well as past group leads.
  • Meets or exceeds all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and production.
  • Identify and secure new corporate accounts for group bookings and special events, negotiating contracts and terms in collaboration with on-property sales directors to ensure profitable outcomes.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline by prospecting and engaging with potential clients in priority industries, driving consistent business development and conversion to maximize revenue generation. Represent Canyon Ranch at industry events to drive visibility and lead generation for group sales.
  • Provides timely reporting regarding forecasting and performance. Maintains accurate records of all sales activities, leads and bookings in Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of expereince required
  • Education: Minium Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of evolving luxury hospitality and wellness industries.
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable using Social Media tools for sales.
  • Possesses strong knowledge of the hospitality industry, current market trends, and economic factors.
  • Possesses strong understanding of the overall immersion wellness experience.
  • Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Demonstrated experience in providing exemplary guest service.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in concepts such as RevPAR, RGI and their use in measuring market share.
