In cooperation with other members of the department clinical staff, an Ochsner Staff Physician will provide and coordinate patient care by abiding by Ochsner's core values of Patients First, Integrity, Compassion, Inclusivity, Teamwork and Excellence and The Responsibilities of the Professional Staff

Supervision:
1. Provide leadership and direction of hospital radiology operations in an economically viable fashion
2. Serve as the primary interface between the Radiology Department and Section Heads/Division Chiefs
a. Assist in planning staffing and scheduling in coordination with Section Heads/Division Chiefs
b. Manage conflict resolution issues related to the clinical enterprise between individuals, sections and departments

Administration:
1. Make strategic recommendations to the Chair based upon:
a. Anticipation of staffing needs
b. Discovery of new site-specific initiatives
c. Assessment of equipment capacity and volume trends
d. Identification of unique skills and recommendation of individuals for special training
e. Knowledge of new developments in local market, the field of radiology, and healthcare in general
2. Work with the Chair and Department leadership to develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures for clinical faculty and set strategic priorities for the Department
3. Work closely with the Chair and Business Administrator to ensure appropriate allocation of resources throughout the clinical enterprise and ensure that the Department operates within budgetary requirements
4. Ensure the departmental compensation plan is maintained and implemented
5. Participate in facilities planning
a. Engage with hospital referrers and the Radiology Department
i. Evaluate and responds to concerns of referring physicians in collaboration with relevant Section Head/Division Chief, Medical Director or Vice Chair
ii. Seek and responds to marketing opportunities
6. Connect with the system at large at the executive level and represents the Chair of Radiology, as needed

Clinical:
1. Work in collaboration with the Chair of Radiology to facilitative the clinical missions occurring at all clinical locations supported by the Radiology Department and to ensure adequate staffing to meet service level requirements at all Ochsner locations


Education/Teaching:
1. Teach residents and medical students and orients residents during clinical rotations
2. Participate in scholarly activities such as research, presentations at national meetings, and publications
3. Interface with technologists, colleagues, patients and clinicians using meetings, interdisciplinary conferences and social media

Faculty Development and Guidance:
1. Provide leadership-related mentorship to junior faculty
2. Assist the Chair in annual assessments of faculty

Committee Assignments:
1. Division Chiefs meetings
2. Business Development Committee

Qualifications:
MD or DO or foreign equivalent with Board Eligibility/Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology
Demonstrated ability to lead teams creatively and synergistically
