Moog is looking for an Integrated Program Technical Lead to lead, plan, and execute all program engineering activities for the Digital Airfield Solutions business in its role as prime integrator for the US Navy ZeroFOD Operational Decision Network (ODN) System-of-Systems (SoS) across Department of War and foreign military airfield partners. This role owns the Program Technical Aspects (scope, schedule, risk, performance). You'll be the key point of contact for the customer involving Technical Requirements and Modernization Goals.

The role blends diverse technical expertise in integration, systems engineering, cybersecurity, and test and evaluation, with a focus on supporting the ongoing operation and growth of current and future program installations. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, Mission Systems (based in East Aurora, NY), this role offers a remote work schedule within a 4-hour drive of a Moog site or regional hub.

Responsibilities

Program Technical Leadership

  • Own and manage the full Program technical aspects, including but not limited to, networking/cellular data network, multiple sensor systems, autonomous systems capabilities, and analytical functions.
  • Lead customer technical discussions involving current and future capabilities of the program.
  • Develop technical requirements documents for onboarding of future sensors and capabilities through discussions with the customer and research of existing/future technologies.
  • Ensure that all program activities are executed as technical defined, within scope, and align with the overall program goals for current and future efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance to Program Management on impacts of Project efforts, especially Modernization projects.
  • Provide technical support to Business Development during modernization and Program growth discussions with current and future customers.
  • Support programs including travel and direct participation in customer presentations.

Planning, Scheduling & Risk Management

  • Support development and maintenance of Program IMS regarding technical efforts and requirements ensuring that new Projects align with current Projects, without impacting Program requirements.
  • Support Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across all Program efforts.
  • Proactively manage issues, dependencies, and constraints impacting Program technical performance.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership on prioritization and tradeoffs within the technical aspects of the Program.
  • Proactively work with Business Development and Program Management in developing ongoing and new proposal packages.

Stakeholder & Customer Management

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison across Moog functions, suppliers, and the DoW customer(s)
  • Coordinate Program technical activities directly with each project team, ensuring technical support availability, scope understanding, and technical growth plans of the Program.
  • Communicate technical status, risks, and performance metrics to leadership and the customer.
  • Build trusted relationships with customer stakeholders and external partners.
  • Continuously collaborate with the customer on their desired growth path, technical aspirations, and desired Program outcomes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Field Service, and Lab/ Modernization teams
  • Collaborate with Engineering on troubleshooting, failure analysis, testing, and capability integration.
  • Support Supply Chain and Logistics with spare parts forecasting, regional planning, and sustainment readiness.
  • Support Field Service teams in planning and executing onsite maintenance activities.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Software, or Aerospace) plus 10 years of experience in progressive roles.
  • Proven track record of establishing and continuously improving technical workflows, documentation, and reporting processes for programs.
  • Program management experience aligning technical requirements with Department of War and Foreign Military Airfield Partners.
  • Potential for future direct reports; candidates should have leadership or management experience across different levels.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to DoW airfields, logistic hubs, other Moog locations, customer locations, and technical/programmatic meetings.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $120,000.00-$180,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
