Job description

APPLICANTS MUST RESIDE IN HAWAII

University Health Partners of Hawaii is the Faculty Practice of the John A Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM).  In conjunction with State of Hawaii’s Department of Health – Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division, JABSOM and UHP are expanding Hoʻōla UTelehealth (HUT) to provide access to no-cost addiction medicine treatment for the State of Hawaii. Our new Telehealth Addiction Medicine program is founded on the belief that everyone deserves a path to recovery. We aim to provide evidence-based, patient-centered, and non-judgmental care for individuals with substance use disorders (SUDs), meeting them wherever they are in their journey. We are seeking a passionate and visionary leader to build and guide this vital program.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Program Manager is responsible for the administrative oversight of the Telehealth Addiction Medicine program, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, evidence-based care in a virtual environment, including developing workflows, managing patient scheduling, supervising staff, and leading quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliance and optimal patient outcomes.

Location: 100% Remote

Full-Time Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm. Weekends as needed to provide coverage. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Training/Experience

Minimum:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Public Health, Health Services Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health Administration, Social Work, Community Health, or related field. 
  • Three (3) years of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience. 
  • Experience in a leadership, supervisory, or program management role.
  • High level of technological proficiency, including experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs), telehealth platforms, and secure communication tools.

Preferred:

  • Master\'s degree in Public Health, Health Services Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health Administration, Social Work, Community Health or related field. 
  • Experience in new program development and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing clinical services in a telehealth or virtual environment.

Skills Knowledge

Minimum:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for building rapport with patients and colleagues in a virtual setting.
  • Comfortable mastering new technologies and creatively applying them to improve care delivery.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
