Trinity Industries is searching for a talented leader to fill the open position of Senior Program Manager in our Dallas, Texas office!

The Senior Program Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Manufacturing Technology within the Information Technology department. The Senior Program Manager would partner with project leadership to plan and execute complex projects. Would be responsible for coordinating efforts across projects and operational teams to ensure projects align with organizational goals and regulatory guidelines leveraging best-practice principles and methodologies.

What You'll Do:

  • Has wide-ranging experience and uses professional concepts in developing resolution to critical issues and broad design matters.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert in Project Management process improvement and strategic planning
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel. Networks with key contacts outside of area of expertise.
  • Provides assistance to other staff with complex tasks that require considerable judgment and initiative.
  • May escalate difficult/complex issues to supervisor/manager for resolution as deemed necessary.
  • Mentor other staff as applicable.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Support the culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred and 8-12 years related experience. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • PMI Project Management Profession (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Agile Project Management experience (SAFE, Scrum, Kanban, etc.) recommended.
  • Experience with Project Portfolio Management Project Prioritization or Governance and functioning within a formal Project Management Office
  • Experience with PPM tools to support planning and execution of projects.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of using PMI best practices in managing projects of all sizes and complexity.
  • Proficient at drafting presentations and data driven reports.
  • Experience facilitating large meetings, webinars, educational seminars with local and/ or remote participants.
  • Solid analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and clients simultaneously.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and strategic directions.
