Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients' mental health needs, utilizing standardized tools and clinical judgment.
• Develop, implement, and routinely assess personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique circumstances and aspirations of each client.
• Provide individual counseling, as well as couples and family therapy sessions that utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Monitor each client’s progress over time, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
• Stay informed of the latest trends and developments in mental health treatment and incorporate these insights into practice where applicable.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse array of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The diverse demographic in Worcester offers a rich tapestry of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, and you will be instrumental in tailoring your approaches to meet the specific cultural and contextual needs of each client.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Active licensure as a mental health therapist in the state of Massachusetts, including qualifications such as Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• Proven ability to develop strong therapeutic relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy, patience, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while being an effective team player, contributing to a supportive environment focused on shared goals.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and their application in various therapeutic settings.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of direct experience providing therapy services in a clinical or community health setting.
• Demonstrated familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methods, ensuring high-quality care is delivered regardless of the client’s location.
• Experience working with underserved populations and knowledge of community resources available in the Worcester area.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
