• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to identify students' social, emotional, and psychological needs, developing personalized therapeutic plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions, employing evidence-based practices tailored to the unique challenges faced by students and their families.
• Work collaboratively with educational personnel, parents, and community organizations to implement and advocate for effective intervention strategies.
• Facilitate workshops and informational sessions for both students and parents on topics related to mental health and social issues.
• Engage in advocacy efforts for client rights and access to essential resources, ensuring that equity in service provision is a priority.
• Participate in program development activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of services offered by Palm Health.
• Maintain meticulous records for compliance and grant reporting, ensuring that all documentation meets organizational and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the team through regular meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practices in mental health care and community engagement.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Palm Health Medical Center, you will primarily work with school-age children and adolescents in a variety of educational settings. Your clientele will include individuals facing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment issues. This role is critical in fostering a supportive environment conducive to learning and emotional well-being.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current active licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and best practices in social work.
• Familiarity with community resources available to families and students in need of support services.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Previous experience in a school setting or working with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated commitment to social justice and advocacy in mental health care.
• Experience in program evaluation, grant writing, and community outreach initiatives.
