How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Conducts and supports the investigating and resolution of privacy incidents reported through the Values Line, ministries, and from other methods, in collaboration with other Compliance leaders, team members, and legal, as appropriate
  • Assists with coordination and follow-up of audits and investigations conducted as part of the compliance privacy monitoring program.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of HIPAA and other Federal or State privacy policies and procedures, including consent forms and notices.
  • Assists with the creation and deliverance of system-wide and targeted compliance training and education programs and initiatives related to privacy matters.
  • Identifies opportunities and supports efforts to build a culture of compliance. Supports the HIPAA Privacy vertical with projects and programs as needed, including data review and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned. 
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
What additional requirements you'll need
  • 5+ years of direct people management experience
  • Masters or JD preferred
  • CHPC, CIPP/US, CHPS preferred
  • Privacy experience in large health care organization with different types of covered entities
  • Extensive experience in privacy investigations, including over-500 HIPAA incidents and associated reporting
