Job description

Description
At echo, we're fixing a broken system. Vulnerability management isn't working - it's reactive, noisy, and unsustainable. Instead of chasing CVEs, we're eliminating them at the source.
Our AI-powered platform produces vulnerability-free base images that integrate cleanly into existing workflows, helping security and platform teams eliminate patching overhead without slowing down developers. Backed by top-tier investors and led by second-time founders who previously built the first software supply chain security company, which was later acquired by Aqua Security, we've gone from stealth to serving global enterprise customers in under six months.
As a Sales Engineer (SE) at Echo, you will act as the technical expert and trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle. You'll partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to demonstrate Echo's value, translate customer needs into technical solutions, and help close strategic deals.
What you'll do
  • Partner with Account Executives throughout the full sales cycle, from discovery to close
  • Lead technical discovery calls to understand customer environments, challenges, and requirements
  • Deliver compelling product demos and presentations tailored to customer use cases
  • Design and explain technical solutions that align with customer needs and business goals
  • Answer technical questions, handle objections, and support RFPs / security questionnaires
  • Act as the voice of the customer, providing feedback to Product and Engineering teams
  • Support proof of concepts (POCs) and trials, ensuring successful evaluations
  • Stay up to date on Echo's product, roadmap, and competitive landscape

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar pre-sales role
  • Strong technical background with the ability to quickly understand complex systems
  • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) - advantage
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and wearing multiple hats
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering

Preferred:
  • Experience selling B2B SaaS or enterprise software
  • Background in security, infrastructure, DevOps, or data platforms
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles

Why echo?
We're a fast-growing team composed of some of the coolest and most passionate people you'll meet, solving hard problems that really make a difference. You'll have real ownership and a clear mission: to bring Echo's secure-by-design technology to companies around the world and redefine what modern cloud security looks like.
