This position is primarily remote, affording flexible working conditions to enable you to deliver excellent patient care from the comfort of your own space. Regular team meetings and case discussions ensure that treatment is comprehensive and person-centered.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological state of patients, factoring in any medical diagnoses that may influence mental health.
• Formulate and implement personalized treatment plans that encompass both mental and physical health needs, integrating therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that use evidence-based techniques to foster patient growth and recovery.
• Actively collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive approach to treatment, sharing insights that enhance care decisions and outcomes.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute mental health challenges.
• Educate patients regarding the interrelation between mental health and physical well-being, empowering them to develop self-management strategies.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation of all patient interactions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular interdisciplinary case conferences, enhancing the continuity of care and sharing treatment progress.
• Stay informed about evolving best practices in mental health care and integrated approaches to patient treatment.

Your primary focus will be on serving a patient population that includes individuals with a spectrum of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues, often complicating pre-existing medical conditions. This role demands empathy and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by these individuals, ensuring that treatment is not only effective but also considerate of their integrated health needs.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, Psychologist, or equivalent, valid in the state of New York.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively address the mental health needs of patients with co-occurring medical conditions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, colleagues, and external partners.
• Proficient in managing client confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines within therapeutic settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and computer applications for documentation and communication.
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary setting.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting, particularly with populations facing complex medical and psychiatric needs.
• Experience using evidence-based practices in therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
