Job description

Schedule: Full and part time positions available. 

Day, evening, night availability needed. Weekend and holiday coverage. 

Main Function: 

The primary purpose of this position is to assist residents with their personal care, to include direction and assistance with grooming, hair care, shaving, nail care, oral care, dressing, bathing, toileting per resident care plan and to assist residents with administration of medications.

Job Specific Competencies: 

  • Demonstrates skills in communication
  • Demonstrated skills in caring
  • Ability to be flexible, work in a team environment, be detailed/task oriented, problem solving
  • Ability to live the CARES values at all times and the Standard of Cooperation
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret medication labels and doctors
  • Understands and supports Resident Rights
  • Ability to respond to safety concerns including fire, OSHA, etc.

Education and Experience: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required or 2 years of related experience may be substituted for the HS diploma requirement
  • One year of experience in an enriched living, adult community, similar housing environment or long term care preferred

Qualifications: 

  • Obtain basic First Aid training within 30 days of official start of employment

Pay Range: 18.75 - $22.00

Starting Rate: Based on experience
