RN Supervisor

Fairport Rehab & Nursing Center

We provide a personalized level of care to area seniors through services and communities across our continuum of care including, independent senior living, assisted living, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing and community based services.

Job Summary:

Join Fairport Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 142-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility, as a Registered Nurse Supervisor. As a RN Supervisor, you will provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff, support interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote a safe, compassionate, and resident-centered environment. With a focus on quality care and regulatory compliance, this role is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about geriatric nursing and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

RN Supervisor Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct resident assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor, document, and manage resident health status, medications, and treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals
• Provide education and emotional support to residents and their families
• Lead and support nursing staff during evening or night shifts
• Serve as the senior nurse on duty and respond to emergent situations
• Oversee census documentation and assist with staff education
• Act as a clinical leader and professional role model
• Report directly to the Director of Nursing

Compensation and Schedule:

• Payrate: $45.00 per Hour
• Every other Weekend: Evening (3:00pm – 11:00pm)
• Schedule Options: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week), Weekend availability required

RN Supervisor Qualifications and Skills:

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1–2 years of long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and regulatory standards (CMS and NYS Department of Health)
• Proven leadership ability with strong staff management and delegation skills
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Strong communication, documentation, and computer/EMR skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Availability to work rotating weekends, holidays, and assigned shifts (evenings/nights as needed)
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and composure in a fast-paced environment
