Pretium Packaging is seeking a Process Engineer with a focus on Polyolefins to lead the end-to-end commercialization process, from business wins to full production, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring customer satisfaction. This is a remote role that will require up to 75% travel.

What You'll do:
As a Process Engineer at Pretium, you will lead the commercialization of new plastic products from initial business award to first production. This role requires strong technical skills, exceptional project management abilities, and effective collaboration across various teams. You will also provide technical support post-launch to ensure customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of new product commercialization, from business win to successful launch.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance throughout the project lifecycle, leveraging knowledge of plastics manufacturing.
  • Timeline and Budget: Develop and maintain project timelines and budgets.
  • Customer Specifications: Ensure all activities align with agreed upon customer requirements including quality and delivery timing.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential project risks.
  • Problem Solving: Work collaboratively with manufacturing & the customer to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Production Oversight: Oversee initial production runs to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Post-Launch Support: Provide ongoing technical support after product launch.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Influence: Build relationships and influence team members to achieve project goals.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Plastics, Chemical, Mechanical, or related field) preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing
  • Proven success in managing and commercializing new products
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with quality systems and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with injection molding, blow molding, or other plastics processing technologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
