Job description

Position type: Fulltime / Contract
Location: Remote, U.S.-based - occasional travel
Reports To: Senior / Principal Engineer / Engagement Lead

An interconnection and modeling engineer who executes generator and large-load studies and develops simulation models with limited oversight, supporting senior leads on larger programs. The work spans RMS and EMT studies, model development and validation, and ISO/utility submittal preparation across active client engagements. Scope and independence scale with demonstrated judgment, and the role can grow toward lead responsibility.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years in power system studies or grid interconnection (3+ with an advanced degree or exceptional, directly-relevant experience).
  • Modeling: Hands-on proficiency with PSS/E and PSCAD, including model development and validation.
  • Process: Working knowledge of at least one ISO/RTO interconnection process end to end (ERCOT, SPP, MISO, PJM, NYISO, or WECC).
  • Regulatory: Familiarity with NERC MOD/FAC/PRC standards and ISO/utility model- submittal requirements.

Position Description
  • Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, power-systems concentration; M.S. preferred.
