ABA Therapy Medical Billing Specialist

Job Summary:

House of Hearts ABA is seeking a highly experienced ABA Therapy Medical Billing & Credentialing Specialist to join our team full-time. As a critical member of our billing team, you will be responsible for handling both in-network and out-of-network claims, ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes, and maintaining compliance with insurance policies and industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Process in-network and out-of-network claims efficiently and accurately

  • Obtain Verification of Benefits (VOBs) and ensure all coverage details are reviewed

  • Manage prior authorizations for ABA therapy services

  • Handle Single Case Agreements (SCAs) and negotiate terms with insurance providers

  • Submit insurance contracts and manage the entire credentialing and contracting process to enroll providers with insurance networks

  • Coordinate all front-desk billing tasks, including managing various insurance portals and direct calls to payers

  • Track and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely payment

  • Maintain compliance with insurance policies, coding requirements, and industry regulations

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of ABA-specific medical billing and credentialing experience (Required)

  • Proven expertise in insurance contracting and credentialing processes

  • Strong understanding of insurance verification, authorizations, and claim submissions

  • Experience working with major insurance portals and handling SCAs
