Full-time

Job description

We are looking for a passionate PeopleSoft HR/Payroll Consultant with specialized expertise in the Person Model to join our team

In this role, you won't just be writing code; you will be the strategic technical lead evaluating and enhancing our HR ecosystem. You will play a pivotal part in our Person Model adoption, ensuring our system configurations are scalable, our payroll batch processes are seamless, and our integrations are rock-solid. If you enjoy bridging the gap between complex legacy systems (COBOL) and modern architecture, this is the project for you.

What You Will Do
  • Person Model Leadership: Lead the assessment and implementation of the PeopleSoft Person Model, specifically focusing on Person of Interest (POI) and Hire/Rehire workflows.
  • Technical Development: Design and maintain solutions using the full PeopleTools suite (Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, and Component Interface).
  • Batch & Payroll Support: Review, modify, and support COBOL programs tied to HCM batch processes. You'll ensure existing COBOL jobs remain compatible with Person Model enhancements.
  • Integration Management: Build and optimize integrations between PeopleSoft and external systems, including Identity Management, payroll vendors, and onboarding tools.
  • System Strategy: Evaluate current configurations to recommend scalable implementation approaches and ensure data integrity through expert-level knowledge of effective dating logic.
  • Mentorship: Create high-quality technical documentation and provide hands-on training to internal teams to ensure long-term system sustainability.
What You Will Bring
  • The Essentials: Deep hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM, the Person Model, and Fluid UI.
  • Tooling Expertise: Mastery of PeopleTools and a proven track record of supporting PeopleSoft Payroll processes.
  • Legacy Proficiency: Comfortable maintaining and enhancing COBOL programs within a PeopleSoft environment.
  • Data Logic: A profound understanding of HR data structures and the nuances of effective dating.
  • Integration Skills: Experience connecting PeopleSoft to third-party platforms (Benefits, Payroll, IDM).
  • Consultative Mindset: The ability to evaluate a "big picture" environment and recommend practical, forward-thinking solutions.
You Will Be Successful If...
  • You can navigate complex technical landscapes and communicate solutions clearly to stakeholders.
  • You are as comfortable mentoring team members as you are debugging an Application Engine.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments that require high-level problem-solving and adaptability.
  • You take pride in creating comprehensive documentation that serves as a roadmap for others.
Why Join This Project?

This is a high-impact contract where your expertise will directly shape the future of our HR technology architecture. We value technical excellence and a proactive approach to system modernization.
