As an LCSW, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients’ mental health, including emotional, behavioral, and social functioning assessments.
• Providing evidence-based psychotherapy and support to clients experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more.
• Developing personalized treatment plans, which incorporate cultural and individual considerations, ensuring they are tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Collaborating closely with a network of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to facilitate a holistic treatment approach.
• Regularly monitoring client progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies based on client feedback and therapeutic outcomes.
• Educating clients and their families on mental health conditions and available resources, enhancing their understanding and engagement in the treatment process.
• Upholding ethical standards, maintaining client confidentiality, and ensuring informed consent practices are always in place.

The population served by Ampersand Counseling, LLC encompasses a broad spectrum of individuals facing mental health challenges, including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and crisis situations. Many of our clients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, which requires a nuanced approach to treatment that incorporates cultural competence and sensitivity.

To be considered for the LCSW position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of direct experience in providing psychotherapy and mental health services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively building therapeutic relationships with clients and collaborating with a broad spectrum of healthcare professionals.
• Proficiency in conducting thorough assessments and formulating evidence-based treatment plans.
• Comfort with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other healthcare management software to ensure efficiency in patient care coordination.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are favorable:

• Experience working within a community health setting or with underrepresented populations.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and techniques.
• Knowledge and use of psychological assessments to inform treatment development.
