Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to support payroll operations across a large employee population. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys improving processes, and has experience working through system enhancements and operational changes. This role is 100% remote and is a contract opportunity for a minimum of months.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support payroll processing activities for US employees
  • Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Assist with payroll system optimization and ongoing process improvements
  • Maintain and update payroll procedures, documentation, and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and workflow effectiveness
  • Provide additional payroll support and cross-functional coverage as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Payroll Manager/Supervisor - processing payroll for 3000+ employees
  • Knowledge of enterprise payroll systems (Workday preferred) and HRIS platforms
  • Experience supporting payroll during system upgrades, implementations, conversions, or process transformation initiatives is highly preferred
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving processes and business needs
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience creating and maintaining process documentation is a plus
  • Experience with cloud-based payroll platforms within large or complex organizations is preferred
