What is a Remote Partner Sales role?

A Remote Partner Sales role involves working with a company's business partners, such as resellers, distributors, or affiliates, to drive sales and grow revenue, all while working remotely. Professionals in this position build and maintain relationships, provide training and support to partners, and help develop joint sales strategies. They use digital communication tools to collaborate and often analyze sales data to optimize partner performance. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and sales skills, as well as the ability to work independently.

How does a Remote Partner Sales professional typically collaborate with partner organizations to drive sales growth?

Remote Partner Sales professionals work closely with partner organizations by establishing regular communication channels, such as virtual meetings and joint strategy sessions, to align on sales goals and share key product updates. They often provide partners with training, sales enablement materials, and support during the sales process to ensure mutual success. Building trust and maintaining strong relationships remotely can be challenging, so proactive engagement and timely follow-ups are essential. Collaboration also involves coordinating with internal teams, such as marketing and product specialists, to deliver tailored solutions that meet the partners’ customers’ needs.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Partner Sales professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Partner Sales professional, you need strong sales acumen, relationship management skills, and a track record of meeting revenue targets, usually backed by experience in channel or partner sales. Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce, virtual meeting tools, and sometimes certifications in sales methodologies (such as MEDDIC or SPIN Selling) are commonly expected. Outstanding communication, self-motivation, and the ability to collaborate across remote teams set top performers apart. These skills are crucial for building effective partner relationships, driving sales growth, and succeeding in a remote, results-driven environment.

Job description

About the Role

We're looking for a Partner Enablement Manager to empower our top partners with the tools and knowledge they need to successfully sell Your Money Line and drive mutual growth. Reporting directly to the COO, you'll be a driving force within our fastest-growing channel.

You'll split your time between building the programs, materials, and expertise that make partners effective, and driving the relationships and accountability that turn that effectiveness into growth. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading a training session and running a QBR.

This role is remote or hybrid.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Sales to establish ambitious yet attainable growth targets, manage partner forecasts, and maintain clear visibility into channel performance.
  • Drive partner growth by developing a deep understanding of their goals and incentives, guiding them toward expanding their books of business with Your Money Line.
  • Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs) with key partners to assess performance, address challenges, and align on goals.
  • Serve as the voice of the partner internally, advocating for partner needs across product, marketing, and client success teams.
  • Lead enablement sessions to equip partner sellers with the knowledge and confidence to go to market with Your Money Line.
  • Develop and maintain enablement materials such as playbooks, battle cards, and training guides that partners can reference independently
  • Deliver compelling product demos to partner prospects and their stakeholders, independently representing YML's value proposition in the field.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the Your Money Line software, answering partner questions as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Client Success team to ensure partners receive a high level of service and achieve a high level of engagement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure partners have access to up-to-date collateral, campaigns, and resources.
  • Stay up to speed on the benefits and retirement industries, understanding what partners are focused on.
  • Identify opportunities to systematize and scale the enablement program as the partner channel grows.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5-7 years experience in a partner management role.
  • Direct partner-facing experience in the benefits, financial wellness, or retirement advisory space is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to create order in ambiguous, fast moving environments where process and ownership are still evolving.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver compelling demos and training sessions to varied audiences.
  • Ability to analyze partner performance data, build forecasts, and translate insights into actionable strategies
  • Proven track record of hitting or exceeding growth or revenue targets at the partner or account level
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed, including onsite work with clients in the Chicago suburbs.
