As a Mental Health Counselor at Emory, you will:

• Conduct individual counseling sessions via secure video chat, ensuring a professional and confidential environment.
• Utilize solution-focused modalities to assist clients in identifying their goals and developing actionable steps toward achieving them.
• Create tailored treatment plans based on thorough assessments to address the unique needs of each client.
• Assist clients in recognizing and understanding their emotions and relationships through in-depth insight discussions.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to promote growth and healthy coping mechanisms.

Your primary focus will be on stable, low-acuity adults who present with a range of mental health needs. This includes individuals coping with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life adjustments. Your role will be pivotal in empowering these adults to uncover their strengths and develop resilience, improving their overall quality of life while fostering a supportive therapeutic alliance.

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• You must hold one of the following unrestricted licenses: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• No disciplinary actions on your license history.
• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and possess a compassionate approach towards mental health care.
• Exhibit proficiency in technology and software relevant to telehealth counseling.

We welcome candidates with prior telehealth experience or familiarity with solution-based therapeutic approaches. Experience working with a variety of mental health conditions and demographic groups will be advantageous.
