Job description

Come be a part of what's next. We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our global Stock Operations team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in equity administration and compliance, and can adapt to Netflix's unique approaches to employee stock programs.

This hire will have the opportunity to define the role's scope and influence its long-term impact on the team. This role can be based in Los Gatos, CA, Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY, with an expectation to be in the office Tues-Thurs. Responsibilities: Facilitate the administration of the Netflix Stock Option Program, including grants, exercises, and settlements of stock, working closely with internal and external partners such as brokerage firms, transfer agents, and legal counsel.

Ensure compliance with equity-related regulatory requirements, including tax withholding and reporting, data privacy, and securities and labor laws, across Netflix entities worldwide. Partner with the Employment Tax and Mobility Tax teams to understand, document, and operationalize the tax and reporting requirements related to non-US stock grants and exercises. These include international and domestic transfers, short-term assignments, business travelers, and remote workers.

Partner with internal technology teams to manage and design workflows and systems that maximize efficiencies in stock operations, ensure the integrity of data, and streamline reporting necessary for compliance and business decision-making. Partner with our Compensation team on all operational and compliance aspects of executive compensation plans, including RSUs and PSUs. Work directly with executives and their brokers on executive 10b5-1 plans, during the full award lifecycle.

Review first drafts of statutory public filings, including SEC filings, Forms 3, 4, and 5, and Proxy statements, 10-K, 8-K etc. Become an expert in Netflix's unique approach to offering employee equity and our Stock Operation program. Help design and lead the education of employees and stakeholders worldwide, throughout the employee lifecycle.

Partner with cross-functional teams including Payroll, Finance & Accounting, Global Mobility, Talent Analytics, Employee Technology, Legal, Treasury, and Employee Services. Ensure critical requirements are considered and communicated early throughout cross-functional initiatives and a changing global regulatory landscape. Provide coaching, feedback, and development for other members of the Stock Operations team.

When needed, conduct the first-level review of work from other members of the Stock Operations team. Monitor the evolving global regulatory landscape for employee stock rules and requirements, ensuring Netflix remains ahead of jurisdictional changes through proactive planning. Execute equity-related workstreams during M&A transactions, during due diligence and integration phases.

Lead new country entries for stock operations, conducting feasibility assessments, and operationalizing complex local compliance and reporting requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in equity administration and/or equity accounting. We will prioritize caneidates will direct equity administration experience.

Familiarity with US GAAP accounting principles and equity valuation models. Strong knowledge of legal, tax compliance, and reporting requirements for domestic and international equity. Experience working on M&A transactions and employee stock-related impacts.

Thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and navigate areas of uncertainty. Able to work independently and effectively manage processes and innovation with cross-functional teams. Strong executive presence and experience interacting with all levels of the company, including C-Suite and Board of Directors.

Experience with Equity Edge Online is strongly preferred. Experience with Workday is a plus. Certified Equity Professional accreditation (Level II) strongly preferred.

You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. The range for this role is $200,000.00 - $300,000.00
