Job description

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of an assigned business unit, department, or client program within LERETA. This role provides leadership and development for the operational team, fosters a culture and working environment conducive to optimum employee productivity, implements process and efficiency improvements, and manages revenue and expenses to meet or exceed targeted performance levels. The position ensures that operational activities are performed accurately, on time, and in adherence to LERETA's requirements and objectives, while supporting or working alongside other members of the Operations Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations
  • Leads and supervises multiple client or business-unit teams, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Builds and fosters strong client and stakeholder relationships by providing expertise on best practices and aligning company and client goals.
  • Ensures teams adhere to compliance requirements, service level agreements (SLAs), and operational metric goals such as productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Effectively plans, organizes, and tracks the performance of the department's operations to promote a unity of purpose and support achievement of LERETA's strategic objectives.
  • Measures the effectiveness of business processes and improvement initiatives and presents findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Manages a continuous improvement program within the department to meet quality benchmarks, cost reduction goals, and on-time delivery and production performance goals.
  • Proactively coordinates the department's activities with other departments to support company-wide operational objectives.
  • Identifies and assesses client or stakeholder needs, documents required action steps, and coordinates with internal teams for resolution.
  • Sets and manages weekly and monthly production, productivity, and quality goals for team members, and oversees daily deliverables to ensure all standards are achieved and communicated effectively.
  • Directs and coordinates team activities to provide extraordinary service to customers and meet LERETA's cost, risk, and productivity goals, and ensures timely completion of weekly, monthly, and annual reports.

Team Support
  • Ensures that department personnel are provided with appropriate job structure and procedural training, a thorough understanding of performance expectations, and timely, constructive feedback.
  • Ensures preparation and delivery of performance assessments in accordance with guidelines outlined by Human Resources.
  • Anticipates and responds to departmental staffing needs to ensure timely recruitment, and that employees are competent, positive, and properly and thoroughly trained.
  • Cultivates a departmental culture that attracts and retains top talent.
  • Serves as the department's escalation point of contact for coordination of activities needed by internal or external customers.
  • Manages employee performance by aligning individual objectives with the effective delivery of strategic and operational goals.

Management Reporting
  • Assertively communicates the status of assignments and any opportunities for improving departmental performance to the Operations Leadership Team.
  • Reports operational metrics and results for the department to management.
  • Develops and documents workflow procedures, prepares annual department budgets, reforecasts, and flux analyses in accordance with accounting requirements, and ensures the department operates within approved financial targets.

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.
Salary range: $67,371 - $80,000
