Director of Operations (Remote)
Job Description
Our client is a newly established, rapidly growing RIA managing $120+ mil AUM seeking a personable, articulate and reliable Director of Operations. Your superior communication and technical skills combined with detail oriented, accuracy and leadership talents will be critical. The ideal Director of Operations has strong organizational skills, is highly efficient and a proactive independent worker to collaborate with the lead wealth advisor and staff. This position requires a fast-paced working environment and is a remote position.
Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of RIA operations including management and oversight of workflows, systems and procedures

  • Identifying areas with gaps, providing logistical recommendations to enhance improvements

  • Building out a feasible RIA operations structure for rapid scalability and fast paced growth

  • Areas to address include back office operations, technology efficiency, support team processes and oversight

  • Identify, assess and provide effective problem solving for servicing and operational solutions for accounts

  • Managing oversight for daily office operations including onboarding, money movement, account transfers and other back office operations

  • Ensure client documents, activity tracking and Wealthbox CRM data are maintained accurately and compliant

  • Provide liaison escalation role with Schwab custodian to ensure procedures are accurate

  • Responsible for compliance, assessing workflows, adherence to regulatory requirements, process filings, and due diligence protocols

  • Exceptional knowledge of technology efficiency, provide assessments for software challenges, identify gaps, integration inefficiencies and recommendations for improvements

  • Understanding hiring needs to keep up with significant firm growth, provide recommendations to meet account servicing demands

  • Knowledge of addressing complex operational issues and problem solving cases to retain HNW and UHNW relationships

  • Experience collaborating with financial advisors as trusted source for reliability and proactive solution provider

  • Addressing HNW and UHNW client relationships with white glove experience in escalated operational matters, providing thorough pro-active communication to clients and advisor

Qualifications:
  • 5-10 Years of experience in Wealth Management or Financial Services

  • Strong knowledge of financial planning and portfolio administration such as fund transfers and withdrawals, RMDs, capital gains, and losses, calculation of stepped-up cost basis, ACATs, new account documentation

  • Knowledge of equity compensation a plus

  • Ability to demonstrate specific examples of experience with UHNW clients and operations background

  • Strong collaborative work ethic, problem solving and proactive approach, ability to demonstrate methods of efficiency and provide recommendations for workflow systems improvement to contribute in a fast-paced performance-driven environment

  • Ability to demonstrate achievements and contributions to scaling business

  • Polished communication skills and ability to interact professionally with all clients and office personnel. This includes both written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work independently

  • Experience with the Schwab custodial platform, Orion, Wealthbox is preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Google docs

  • Strong technology skills in Video Chat, Google docs, and CRM preferred
