Salary: $28.00 to $33.00 DOE

Position Summary

The Communications Field Supervisor leads day-to-day field operations for telecom and connectivity systems across active job sites. This role supervises technicians, supports installations, and ensures reliable service delivery for satellite, LTE, networking, and remote monitoring systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical expertise with team oversight. You will work directly in the field, solve complex issues, and play a key part in delivering high-quality communication solutions in remote environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support communications technicians across multiple job sites
  • Oversee installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communications systems
  • Dispatch technicians and coordinate daily field activities
  • Provide hands-on support for rig-ups, rig-downs, and system moves
  • Troubleshoot satellite, LTE, networking, and camera systems
  • Support customers with technical issues and service needs
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Housing and Power Generation
  • Maintain equipment, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Assist with development and deployment of new technologies
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
  • Track technician hours, performance, and operational reporting

Travel and Work Environment

  • Travel required across Montana, North Dakota, and surrounding areas
  • Overnight travel expected based on project needs
  • Outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Physically active role including lifting, climbing, and extended standing

Experience

  • 4+ years in communications, telecom, or networking field roles
  • Leadership or supervisor experience preferred

Technical Skills

  • Experience with networking, LTE, or satellite systems
  • Cable installation and termination (RJ-45, coaxial)
  • Ability to troubleshoot field connectivity systems
  • Experience with cameras or monitoring systems is an asset

Preferred

  • Technical certifications such as Network+ or similar
  • Background in telecom, electronics, or IT-related field
