Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center at Shreveport seek a General OB/Gyn Physician to join our team in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Saint Mary's Medical Center in Shreveport. The hospital has new and state-of-the-art operating rooms, Level IV L&D and Level III NICU, recently renovated spacious faculty offices. L&D is covered by two nocturnists weekdays and part of the weekend. Our specialists on-site include fellowship-trained faculty in MFM and Urogynecology, in addition to offering Adolescent Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Services. Our team consists of both academic and clinical faculty, with a 28 resident program complement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have an MD or DO
  • Be US board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Louisiana
  • Have outstanding obstetric and surgical skills with interest in clinical activities
  • Commitment to the education of residents and medical students
  • Robotics certification

Highlights of the Position:

  • 22 Faculty, including 2 Nocturnists, 2 MFMs and 1 Urogynecologist (+1 Gyn Oncology and 2 REI community faculty)
  • Call is one 36-hour weekend shift every 5-6 weeks
  • 28 residents
  • High patient volumes
