Job description

About Us

Peaceful Psychotherapy is a fully remote, growing group practice. Our mission statement:

“To redefine therapy with creative tools, progress you can measure, and next level therapist development.”

We believe great clinical work is cultivated by strong support systems, and that starts with a workplace people are genuinely proud to be part of. That means reliable administrative support, clear expectations, and a culture that values both individual well-being (inside and outside of work) and high standards of care.

Our approach is people first, while still maintaining clarity and accountability. We’re building a practice that is thoughtful, efficient, and always improving, while keeping a strong focus on supporting our clinicians and creating a smooth, positive experience for our clients.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Part-Time Clinical Supervisor (LMHC) who brings both clinical depth and managerial ownership.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring clinicians while also maintaining consistent standards and taking ownership of team performance. You’ll support a small team of up to 5 clinicians, providing both individual and group supervision, while ensuring quality, consistency, and strong clinical decision-making across your team. This role combines clinical supervision with day-to-day management responsibility, bridging clinical oversight and practice operations to maintain a high-performing, well-supported team.

This is not a passive supervision or management role. You will take ownership of clinician performance, ensuring expectations are clear, consistently met, and aligned with both clinical and operational standards. You will play an active role in reinforcing policies, accountability, and direct engagement with the clinicians and the practice, while supporting individual clinician growth and development.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide individual and group supervision in accordance with NYS requirements
  • Support clinicians in case review, clinical decision-making, and ethical care
  • Act as the first line of contact for your team
  • Address clinical performance concerns directly and provide clear, constructive feedback
  • Support leadership in policy adoption and adherence across the practice
  • Regularly take part and engage in supervisor-leadership discussions (we have a Slack group to keep things simple!)
  • Escalate non-clinical or HR-related concerns appropriately
  • Ensure documentation standards are met, including:
  • Clinician note completion within 24 hours
  • Supervisor review and sign-off within 48 hours
  • Reinforce expectations around:
  • Caseload management (clinicians need to have 28 hours available weekly for clients)
  • Attendance to individual and group supervision
  • New policy and procedure adoption among your team
  • Utilization of company communication platforms (Slack is our main method)
  • Maintain accurate and compliant supervision documentation (including attendance for payroll)
  • Partner with leadership to help continually improve systems, workflows, and clinician support

What We’re Looking For

  • Active LMHC license in New York
  • Meets NYS requirements to supervise MHC-LPs
  • Experience providing supervision or strong mentorship experience
  • Comfortable balancing support with accountability across both clinical and managerial responsibilities
  • Able to address performance concerns directly and professionally (we provide the metrics, you ensure accountability with your team!)
  • Highly organized, responsive, and consistent with documentation
  • Willing and able to check communications daily for updates (<5 minutes)
  • Values structure, operational standards, and continuous improvement
  • Aligned with a collaborative, people-first, and growth-oriented culture

What Makes This Role Different

  • We are a practice that values both Clinician experience and Operational excellence
  • Clear expectations around performance
  • Opportunity to help shape and refine a modern and growing group practice

Schedule & Commitment

  • Approximately 2–3 hours per week
  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling (within supervision requirements)
