Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical consultation to other members of the mental health team, addressing complex mental health concerns across various patient populations, including older adults and those with substance use challenges.
  • Interpret and relay critical information regarding patient histories and family dynamics to clinical staff and other health care providers, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each case.
  • Coordinate the development and execution of individualized patient care plans, taking into consideration the home environment and available support systems to maximize treatment effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular treatment planning sessions, including case reviews, to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to therapy approaches.
  • Document session outcomes by completing detailed progress notes efficiently, maintaining thorough records that adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical competencies and stay informed of best practices in the mental health field.
  • Perform other assigned duties that support the operational needs of the clinic and contribute to the enhancement of patient care services.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus at El Centro Behavioral Center is to serve a diverse population dealing with a wide range of mental health issues. This includes children, adolescents, adults, and seniors facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our counselors employ an integrated approach tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, emphasizing the importance of cultural competence and sensitivity in their treatment plans.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Possess valid independent licensure in New York as an LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently complete clinical documentation and progress notes post-session while adhering to agency protocols and guidelines.
Preferred Experience
  • Clinical experience in a community health setting, particularly in providing services to vulnerable populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is advantageous.
  • Previous involvement in interdisciplinary team settings and case management practices.
Compensation and Benefits

El Centro Behavioral Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
