Job description

The AUNY Division of the School of Graduate & Continuing Studies at Alfred University is excited to announce a search for the AUNY Field Placement Assistant for our New York City metro area-based counseling programs (MSEd/CAS). The AUNY counseling programs offer courses on the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) with a focus on training adult learners. This is a primarily (99%) remote position. 
Position Description:
The AUNY Field Placement Assistant is a 12-month, part-time (7-12 hrs./wk.) position that will assist the Dean's Office and the mental health and school counseling field placement coordinators in the processing of field placement agreements and the building of field placement sites in our elctronic record keeping system (Watermark: Student Learning & Licensure). 
Rate: $16.72-$17.68, 7-12 hours per week
Duties Include:
  • Monitoring the AUNY field placement agreement email account
  • Organizing field placement agreements into the appropriate online filling system for review by the appropriate field placement coordinator
  • Building field placement agreements in the Student Learning & Licensure system once the agreement is approved by the field placement coordinator
  • Notifying students that their field placement has been approved by the field placement coordinator
  • Notifying students that their field placement has been created in teh Student Learning & Licensure system
  • Routing emails from site supervisors and/or students to the appropriate field placement coordinator and/or the Dean's Office
  • Assisting the field placement coordinators and the Dean's Office to maintain an efficient and up-to-date electronic filing and recorkeeping system
Position Requirements:
  • An associates degree or a high school diploma with 5 years of work experience with data processing
  • Must be available at least two days during the week (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm to interface with university personnel
  • Occasional evening work may be required
  • The ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines while working remotely without direct supervision is essential for this position
  • The ability to meet with field placement coordinators and members of the Dean's Office via Zoom from a quite space is required
  • This is a primarily remote position; however, preference will be given to candidates who are in a commutable distance to New York City should the need for an in-person meeting occur (no more than 2 times per calendar year).
