Job description

Job Title: GMS Buyer Location: Ewing, NJ Type: Contract Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Contractor Work Model: Hybrid (onsite Tues-Thurs, remote Monday and Friday) Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented GMS Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to support the company's operations. The GMS Buyer will ensure that procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with company standards. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple suppliers and procurement projects. Responsibilities

  • Place and manage purchase orders for contract manufacturers based on firm production plans.
  • Coordinate the procurement of labels, packaging components, and other materials needed for manufacturing.
  • Monitor and adjust order frequency based on demand trends.
  • Reconcile SAP inventory with contract manufacturer inventory monthly.
  • Participate in ongoing training with Operations Finance to maintain process alignment.
  • Distribute weekly open-order reports and follow up on ETAs and past-due purchase orders.
  • Perform daily tracking and follow-up on incoming shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage additional order and operations reports as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement roles (additional experience may be considered based on the minimum experience specified).
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills across functions and with external partners.
