Job Description Title: 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor Comp: $80,000-$110,000 Location: Cincinnati, OH Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a direct hire 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor position. This individual will oversee daily operations within a precision CNC machining environment, providing leadership to production teams while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and operational excellence in a highly regulated aerospace manufacturing facility. Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations of the 2nd shift machine shop while partnering with the 2nd Shift EDM Manufacturing Supervisor Lead Team Leads, Set-Up Technicians, CNC Operators, Machinists, and other production personnel Direct production activities to achieve quality, output, cost, and delivery objectives Ensure operators accurately complete control charts and enter production data into the ERP system Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and performance Report equipment and manufacturing process issues while driving resolution efforts Maintain responsibility for employee safety, housekeeping, equipment, and departmental processes Assign work and adjust staffing priorities based on production demands Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining equipment, and production workflows Communicate company policies, procedures, and operational expectations to production teams Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams through coaching, performance feedback, and employee development Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee disciplinary actions when necessary Promote teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product development initiatives Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation requirements Lead by example while maintaining a strong culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence Required Skills (Must Have): Previous supervisory experience within a precision machining, CNC machining, or metals manufacturing environment Strong background in CNC machining, machining processes, or machine shop operations Ability to support operators and machinists with questions regarding tooling, machining processes, operation sheets, prints, and production issues 7+ years of experience in machining and/or manufacturing environments 7+ years of leadership experience supervising manufacturing or production teams Experience managing teams of 15 or more direct reports Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within a manufacturing environment Experience managing production schedules, quality standards, and employee performance Microsoft Office proficiency Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Experience working within quality-driven manufacturing environments Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): Associate's degree or technical education CNC Machining Certificate from a trade school Aerospace manufacturing experience Experience with ADP Workforce Now Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives Knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP quality systems Experience working in other highly regulated manufacturing environments #ID9515.
