Position Overview

The Assisted Hand Medical Group is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. The LPC will play a crucial role in facilitating mental health support and crisis intervention for our clients, predominantly working with adults. Key Responsibilities
  • Engage actively in individual and group supervision sessions to discuss case studies and develop best practices.
  • Coordinate with the Oregon Health Authority to provide timely enrollment and discharge updates for clients receiving treatment for problem gambling.
  • Collaborate with various community agencies, including schools, group homes, and law enforcement entities to plan and coordinate behavioral health cases and establish effective treatment pathways for clients.
  • Deliver educational sessions on behavioral health and addiction topics to community organizations and interest groups, enhancing awareness and prevention efforts.
  • Attend relevant training sessions, conferences, and staff meetings as required, applying learned concepts to improve service delivery and client care.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) plan for the agency, including necessary policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the agency's mission and operate within the highest ethical standards of practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LPC will primarily engage with an adult population facing a range of mental health challenges. Your expertise will assist individuals in navigating crises, managing chronic mental health conditions, and improving their overall quality of life. By developing personalized treatment plans, the LPC will facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting resilience and recovery.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must hold one of the following degrees from an accredited institution: Doctor of Psychology (PhD or PsyD), Master of Social Work (MSW), Master in Professional Counseling, or Master of Family Therapy. Furthermore, candidates should fulfill the necessary requirements for licensure as a professional counselor in the states of Oregon and/or Washington.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting. Experience working in community mental health, providing crisis intervention and case management services will be highly valued.
