Description
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Asset Manager to become a member of the team that manages surveillance and decisioning pertaining to loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, litigation and REOs. This role requires a high level of ownership and independent problem-solving, with a focus on optimizing outcomes and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will bring subject matter expertise, analytical rigor, and a process-focused mindset to oversee servicer performance, identify inefficiencies, and enhance portfolio results. This position is highly cross-functional and requires strong leadership, proven expertise in evaluating and summarizing processes and systems, and the ability to translate data and complexity into action.  

Responsibilities and Duties:
Asset Oversight & Servicer Management
  • Act as a primary point of contact with servicers and external counsel.
  • Work in partnership with servicers to develop tools and processes that achieve desired outcomes.
  • Lead monthly servicer portfolio review meetings and ensure effective communication.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting to guide decision-making.
  • Ensure timely and compliant servicer actions; proactively address delays and inefficiencies.
Process Improvement & Risk Management
  • Review and redesign processes internally and with the servicer to address root causes and improve consistency
  • Identify risks in legal or servicing processes and implement long-term solutions
  • Build scalable frameworks for repeatable, efficient asset management execution.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in asset management, servicing oversight, or related areas.
  • Expertise in loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, REO and litigation practices, including experience reading and interpreting legal documents.
  • Expertise in evaluating processes to identify root causes of volatility.
  • Experience working with third-party servicers, legal counsel, and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills required - including ability to represent scenarios efficiently in Excel; SQL proficiency or willingness to learn preferred.
